FdA

This foundation degree in counselling allows me to work as a qualified counsellor in Newcastle. The course taught me about different counselling theories and how they can be used to help people. The course also taught me theories about how people develop into the person they have become. I gained a ‘commendation’ in this course.

BDS

This is a dental degree. I learned a lot of anatomy, physiology, medicine, some psychology and (of course) all the dental stuff.

PGCert(psych)

This is a Post-Graduate Certificate in psychology. This is a psychology course taken by people who already have a degree.

GradDip(psych)

This is a Graduate Diploma in psychology taken once a Post-Graduate Certificate in psychology has been achieved. I gained a ‘distinction’ in this course. The Post-Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma in psychology is the equivalent to a degree in psychology.
